Head of Fundraising Job Specification
Develop and implement the charity’s fundraising strategy in order to grow income and achieve the fundraising target.
Identify and cultivate major donor relationships including setting up meetings, securing donations, and informing them of key charity activities and progress.
Manage the Annual Fundraising campaign including identifying and reaching out to major donors, managing a team of ambassadors, oversee the operational elements of the campaign, and ensuring the charity reaches and surpasses the campaign’s financial target.
Identify, develop and implement fundraising challenges and other, new ideas to generate charitable donations.
Working closely with our Grants Manager, you will help to identify new partnerships with trusts, family foundations and corporate giving programmes.
Keeping the donor CRM up to date and ensuring all activity is logged.
Managing all relevant 3rd party suppliers.
Minimum of 3 years in a fundraising role with a proven track record of income generation
Demonstrable experience of growing fundraising income year on year
A background in helping to shape, develop and execute on a fundraising strategy
Highly skilled in developing, nurturing and maintaining major donor relationships
A collaborative working style whilst also being a self-starter
An in-depth knowledge of the fundraising landscape and best practices
Able to manage and plan your workload
Experience in working with Salesforce or other fundraising databases
