Planning for the future of Young People’s Mental Health at the House of Commons
IHEART invited to join the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit & Healthy Childhood
We were delighted to recently be invited to the House of Commons for an important reception to launch “A Mental Health Charter for 21st Century Children”. The charter concerns mental health planning for children and the way forward on a national level.
IHEART joined ministers, members of parliament, civil servants and other charity leaders who work with young people to discuss the charter and possible ways forward for children’s’ mental health.
“It is gratifying to see that the All-Party Group are keen to hear about ideas for preventative mental wellness education. For IHEART to be invited to be a part of this discussion is a great honour and is indicative of the continued recognition of our crucial work,” says Zia Brooks, Head of Schools and Teacher Training, who represented IHEART at the House of Commons.
